Do Bangladeshi Citizens Need a Visa to Visit Japan for Business?

Yes, Bangladeshi nationals are required to obtain a visa before entering Japan for business purposes. The visa must be obtained from the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh or through the authorized visa processing center VFS Global. Applicants must present a valid purpose for the visit along with complete supporting documents.

📋 Japan Business Visa Requirements (For Bangladeshi Nationals)

Below is the complete list of documents required to apply for a Japan Business Visa:

 

1. 📝 Application Form

A duly filled and signed visa application form. Available at the Embassy or online from the Japan Embassy website.

 

2. 📘 Valid Passport and Photocopy

• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay.
• Include one photocopy of the passport’s bio-data page.

 

3. 📚 Old Passport (if available) and Photocopy

Submit previous passports to help verify travel history, along with a photocopy.

 

4. 📸 Two Photographs

• Size: 2-inch x 1.4 inch
• Must be recent, with white background, no headgear or glasses.

 

5. ✈️ Airline Booking Slip (Round Trip)

• Provide a flight reservation or booking confirmation for entry and return from Japan.

 

6. 🏨 Hotel Booking / Residence Confirmation

• Submit confirmed hotel bookings for the duration of stay,
  OR
• A residence letter from the guarantor if staying with a host.

 

7. 📅 Tentative Schedule in Japan

• A day-wise itinerary explaining the purpose and places of business activities.

 

8. 💼 Employment Certificate or Trade License

• Employees: Must submit an employment certificate issued by the employer.
• Business owners: Must provide an English-translated and notarized trade license.

 

9. 📄 Documents Certifying Business Activity in Japan

Any of the following applicable documents:

• (a) Invitation Letter from Japanese company
• (b) Business contracts, LC copies, or documents related to this visit
• (c) Guarantee Letter from the inviting company/individual in Japan

 

10. 💰 Tax Documents (Last 3 Years)

• Submit Income Tax Certificate and Tax Payment Receipts of the last three years of the applicant.

 

11. 🏦 Bank Statement (Latest 6 Months)

• Must be an updated personal or company bank statement with bank seal and signature.

 

12. 📜 Company Registration of Japanese Company

• Known as To-kibo To-hon, this is the official registration document of the inviting Japanese company.

 

13. 🧑‍💼 Employment Letter of Japanese Guarantor

• If an individual is inviting, submit their employment letter in Japan to verify their credibility.

 

14. 🧾 Documents Certifying Your Company’s Activity

• Include your company’s profile, registration, or relevant documents confirming business operations.

 

15. 📑 Supporting Documents (if any)

• Brochures, leaflets, newspaper coverage, or any promotional material that highlights the company.

 

16. 📋 Visit Schedule by Guarantor

• A detailed plan of the visit prepared and submitted by the Japanese guarantor.

• VFS Appointment Fee: Tk. 1,900/-
• Service Charge (Travel Trip BD): Tk. 3,000/-

(Visa fees are non-refundable and subject to embassy decision.)

 

⏳ Processing Time

Visa applications are generally processed within 7 to 15 working days, depending on embassy workload and interview calls (if required).
