In the process of obtaining an Umrah visa, the Saudi Arabian government has set certain rules and conditions that must be followed. Pilgrims who wish to perform Umrah need to be aware of these requirements. Before applying for the visa, both the pilgrim and the agency should thoroughly understand the conditions to avoid any complications later. Additionally, the current rate of visa rejection has increased, so it is crucial to inform travelers about the potential risks.

Umrah Visa Requirements:

1. Biometric Verification: The pilgrim's biometric data must be submitted through the Saudi Visa Bio App.
2. Passport Scan Copy: A scanned copy of the pilgrim's passport must be submitted.
3. For Single Male or Female: If a single male or female applies for an Umrah visa, they must have had a previous visa.
4. Fine for Absconding Pilgrim: If any pilgrim absconds, a fine of 25,000 Saudi Riyals must be paid.
5. Ticket Submission: The pilgrim must submit their ticket before traveling, and upon arrival at the Saudi airport, they must provide the passport stamp issued by the immigration.
6. Using Government Transportation: If the pilgrim uses government transportation from the Saudi airport, the agent will bear the transportation penalty.
7. Sponsor’s Iqama Copy and Address: The pilgrim must submit the Iqama copy and address of the person they will be staying with.
8. In Case of Visa Rejection: If the visa is rejected, the agent must refund the entire visa fee.
9. Advance Payment: The full visa fee must be paid in advance.
10. Blacklisted Pilgrim: If the pilgrim was previously blacklisted in Saudi Arabia, they will be sent back to Bangladesh from the Saudi airport.
11. Fingerprint Completion: The pilgrim must complete fingerprint verification.

Precautions:

Even after receiving an approved visa copy, the Saudi Embassy may send a rejection mail and cancel the visa. Therefore, it is essential to check the visa status online before departure.

Risk of Resubmitting a Rejected Visa:

The rate of visa rejection has significantly increased this year. Since the visa is non-refundable, there is a risk of rejection even after resubmitting. Both the pilgrim and the agency should be aware of this possibility. It is advisable to inform the pilgrim in advance to avoid misunderstandings later.
